A. Trevor Thrall
Trevor received his Ph.D. in political science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. As a professor and a business owner, Trevor has spent more than 20 years using the 12 Week Year system to manage his writing, publishing ten books and edited volumes, a host of academic articles and book chapters, and scores of op-eds and commentaries. His work has been published in outlets such as the Atlantic, Washington Post, Foreign Policy, the Philadelphia Inquirer, USA Today, and the Detroit News, among others. He also sat on more than 50 Ph.D. dissertation committees and helped hundreds of students write their undergraduate and master’s theses.
In 2022 Trevor retired from George Mason University to become a full-time writing coach. In addition to writing The Lightning Draft with Michael Lennington and Miguel Rivera, Trevor is the author of The 12 Week Year for Writers and The Weekly Writing Routine Workbook. His mission is to help writers be their most productive selves.
When he is not writing, coaching writers, or thinking about writing, Trevor is usually on the beach with his wife or walking one of their two naughty dogs.
Michael Lennington
In addition to The Lightning Draft, Michael is the co-author of three business books published by Wiley, including the New York Times bestselling book The 12 Week Year, The 12 Week Year Field Guide, and Uncommon Accountability.
Though not a professional author by trade, Michael and his business partner Brian Moran have developed an innovative approach to personal and business execution that has been the source for each of the books that hey have written. Virtually all of their clients have come from the books they have written for more than two decades. Michael’s professional career is focused on enabling individuals, teams, and entire organizations to accomplish their most important goals in less time. His clients list over the years includes Allstate, Becton Dickenson, Compass, MassMutual, Medtronic, Ponoko, The Guardian, and Sainsbury's. Presently, he devotes himself to coaching, writing, and creating tools that help people get more done in less time. What drives Michael’s work is the desire to help others overcome the thinking and action barriers that keep them from accomplishing more of what they are capable of.
Michael’s most important roles are as father, husband, and most recently grandfather. When he is not with his family, or working, his favorite personal pursuits include attending music festivals, travel, and hiking in the backcountry.
Miguel Rivera
Miguel is the founder and owner of Ideal Client Systems, LLC, a performance driven agency dedicated to helping business owners profitably grow their business by attracting their ideal clients with a marketing system centered around a book. Miguel is the co-recipient of the prestigious Two Comma Club ClickFunnels™ Marketing Award, after achieving over US$1 Million in revenue in under 12 months centered around a book marketing system.
Prior to ICS, Miguel worked in Corporate America as an Executive with over a decade working with small, mid-size and Fortune 200 companies in Silicon Valley. Miguel focused on helping companies with strategy and execution to scale profitably, with experience in over 20 countries.
Miguel is an Industrial Engineer and has an MBA from Duke University with a deep passion for Business Strategy, Finance, Marketing and Sales. Miguel is also a Certified High Performance Coach, A Six Sigma Black Belt and a Scrum Master.
Miguel is married to Valerie and they have two kids. When he is not working, Miguel loves reading books, playing chess and spending time traveling the world with his family.
